Recharta: Rippotai's emotional installation that brings artisanal and plantable paper back to life.

Recharta: l’installazione emozionale di Rippotai che fa rinascere la carta artigianale e piantabile

A project that transforms paper into a symbol of inclusion, sustainability, and beauty.

In a world increasingly in need of authentic stories and sustainable materials, Recharta represents a true creative and social revolution. It is a handcrafted, plantable paper made from waste materials and processed by inmates at the ManoLibera paper mill in the Forlì prison, thanks to the collaboration between Rippotai , Altremani , and the support of CNA Rimini .

This special paper can not only be planted to give life to flowers and herbs, but it also becomes a vehicle for a powerful message of rebirth, redemption, and sustainability.

Recharta at Paper Week: poetry and recycling in the heart of Rimini

During the fifth edition of Paper Week 2025 , Recharta came to life with an immersive installation in the outdoor area of the famous Cinema Fulgor in Rimini.

An emotional work, where suspended sheets of paper—natural or printed with quotes from Federico Fellini—depicted the virtuous cycle of recycled paper, evoking the beauty of second chances, recycling, and the art born from waste. A perfect synergy between eco-design , sustainable communication , and social inclusion .

From prison to the Gipsy Garden: reborn paper becomes shared art.

Recharta's journey continues at the Gipsy Garden at Villa des Vergers in Rimini on May 10 and 11, 2025, where it will be transformed into a new exhibition installation immersed in nature. In this context dedicated to sustainable craftsmanship , Recharta is enriched with new meanings thanks to the artistic intervention of the Cuore21 Cooperative : the original colors and shapes drawn by young people with disabilities make each sheet of paper a true participatory work of art.

Why choose plantable and artisanal paper? An ethical and creative choice.

Using plantable handmade paper like Recharta means:

  • Reducing environmental impact by promoting the circular economy.

  • Promote artisanal and solidarity work , creating real opportunities for vulnerable people.

  • Turn a daily gesture into an act of beauty and regeneration : write, give, and then… let it bloom.

Each sheet of Recharta tells a story of respect, dignity, and hope , uniting seemingly distant worlds such as prison, disability, business, and art.
