Sustainable communication for events: the experiential project created for Conapi

Comunicazione sostenibile per eventi: il progetto esperienziale realizzato per Conapi

Sustainable communication that engages, educates and inspires

In today's landscape, sustainable communication isn't simply about choosing eco-friendly materials. It means creating experiences that truly speak the language of responsibility, consistency, and respect for the environment. This is what we've done with Conapi, an organization that has always protected biodiversity through the production of quality honey under the Mielizia brand.

Our task? To transform these values into a concrete project, capable of communicating directly and engagingly. And, of course, sustainable down to the last fiber.

The heart of the event: a personalized backdrop that tells a story

One of the key elements of the project was the custom backdrop : not just a photographic backdrop, but a true sustainable communication tool. Designed and crafted from 100% recyclable, single-material honeycomb cardboard, it captured attention and stimulated interaction. Every detail was designed to convey, without words, the brand's identity and environmental commitment.

Decorations and silhouettes: sustainability takes shape

Walking through the event spaces, it was impossible not to notice the charming bee-themed silhouettes , hanging or placed here and there. These decorative elements, also made of recyclable cardboard, served more than just aesthetic purposes: they helped create a coherent, immersive visual journey that made the sustainable communication message immediately recognizable.

An eco-friendly wheel of fortune, to learn while playing

Among the most popular solutions was the Wheel of Fortune , available in both a countertop and floor-standing version. It was designed to actively engage visitors, offering symbolic prizes tied to the natural world. But the real winner was the message: entertainment can be enjoyed without sacrificing ethical integrity. The wheel was made entirely of eco-friendly cardboard, without any plastic or mixed materials.

Sustainable communication also in gadgets

Every small gift distributed had a story to tell. The plantable gadgets invited people to literally cultivate a vision of a greener future. The stylized cardboard bees, meanwhile, remained as a memento of a pleasant and thoughtful encounter. No ephemeral or disposable objects, but tangible sustainable communication tools that continue to resonate long after the event.

Modular and reusable displays: circular design at the service of the brand

Every element of the project—from the information panels to the hexagonal displays—was designed with a dual objective: reducing environmental impact and optimizing logistics . Thanks to the use of honeycomb and multi-flute cardboard , all the displays were lightweight, easy to transport, and, most importantly, 100% recyclable. This choice reinforces the effectiveness of sustainable communication, because sustainability is not just about the message, but also about the means by which it is conveyed.

A consistent approach from A to Z

The strength of this project lies precisely in its coherence. Every element—visual, functional, emotional—was guided by the desire to create truly sustainable communication . Not a label to be applied after the fact, but a design choice, shared with the client from the very beginning.

Communicating sustainably isn't a whim, but a responsibility. The project with Conapi demonstrates that sustainable communication can also be creative, engaging, beautiful to look at, and easy to manage . It takes vision, planning, and consistency. We at Rippotai put all of this into it, every day.
